-
When is the latest I can book?
• If starting in Ha Giang: You can book as late as 7:30 AM on the morning of departure, but we do not recommend this as we need time to prepare your rider.
• If starting from other cities (Hanoi, Sapa, etc.): Booking is subject to sleeper bus availability. During peak season, bus seats fill up very quickly, so we strongly advise booking early to secure your spot. For last-minute inquiries, please contact us directly.
-
What are the food and accommodation like?
Expect an authentic, local experience. Ha Giang is a remote province, so facilities are more basic than in major cities. We offer standard (budget-friendly) and upgraded (comfort-focused) accommodation options to suit your preference. Please be prepared for simpler living conditions, which is part of the tour's authentic charm. In winter, rooms are equipped with warm blankets and heaters.
-
Why can the meals on the Loop feel repetitive?
The tour travels through remote mountainous regions where food ingredients are limited to local staples like pork, chicken, beef, eggs, tofu, and seasonal vegetables. While the ingredients may be similar, our local hosts always try to prepare them in different ways for each meal.
-
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergies)?
Yes. Please inform us of any dietary requirements before your trip begins. We will do our best to provide suitable meals for you.
-
How is my luggage handled?
• Main Luggage: We provide free luggage storage at our hostel in Ha Giang City. For extra security, you can rent a locker for a minor surcharge. You can ask our staff in the hostel for help.
• Daypack on the Loop: Your backpack will be securely strapped to the back of the bike by your Easy Rider; you do not need to carry it on your back. If you need something from it, just ask your rider.
-
Are there ATMs in Ha Giang?
Yes, there are ATMs in Ha Giang City. If you need to withdraw cash before the loop, please inform our staff, and we will arrange for a rider to take you to an ATM before departure.
-
Do the buses have toilet or wifi?
The buses do not have toilets on board, but they make regular rest stops. Some buses have Wi-Fi, but the connection can be unstable; we recommend having a SIM/eSIM with mobile data.
-
What if it rains? Is it safe?
Your safety is always our #1 priority. The tour can proceed safely in normal rain, as our drivers are highly experienced and trained for these conditions. We provide full-body raincoats and shoe covers, and your luggage will be carefully wrapped. In cases of extreme weather like typhoons or floods, the trip will be paused until it is safe to continue, and we will support you with accommodation and meals during the delay.
-
Are there any specific health considerations?
The Ha Giang Loop is a multi-day motorbike journey on challenging roads. Good physical condition is recommended. We do not recommend this tour for adults over 70, children under 10, pregnant women, or individuals with significant back, bone, or joint problems. For these cases, a car tour is a much safer alternative. You can contact us for car arrangement
-
What happens in an emergency?
There are hospitals in Ha Giang City and Dong Van. Our local support teams are always on standby to assist in case of emergency.
-
I have a bad back / I'm very tall / I'm a heavy person. What are my options?
For greater comfort and a better fit, we highly recommend upgrading to a 150cc motorbike. These bikes offer better suspension, more space, and a smoother ride. A car tour is also an excellent option. Please contact us for a personal consultation.
-
Can I ride a motorbike without a license?
Riding a motorbike without a valid license is illegal in Vietnam. For your safety, we strongly advise against this.
